Problem

Initial Leaflet Draft Without Design Guidelines

The initial draft included both opening information and program details, but lacked clear design guidelines and an organized information hierarchy. As a result, it was unclear which messages should be prioritized. This highlighted the need to clearly define the purpose of the leaflet and to redesign the overall structure and visual flow around the core message and a clear path toward consultation inquiries.

Process

Leaflet Concepts with Distinct Creative Directions

Three design concepts were developed with different approaches to message emphasis and visual direction, based on the leaflet’s purpose and target audience.
Each concept varied in information layout and visual flow, allowing us to evaluate which direction was most effective for communicating the opening announcement and encouraging consultation inquiries.

Option A
Option A leaflet hero

This concept prioritizes delivering all essential information required in the leaflet, including the opening schedule, educational programs, operating hours, and consultation details.

Considering the information-heavy nature of offline leaflets, the layout was structured to ensure that each element does not compete for attention, with a strong focus on text hierarchy and overall layout organization.

The roles of the headline, supporting copy, and detailed information were clearly defined, allowing the content to be read naturally from top to bottom even in a first-time viewing context.

The photo area was used as a secondary element to support understanding of the programs, positioned so that it does not interfere with the delivery of textual information and maintains clarity throughout the information search process.

Option A presents a conservative and stable solution that prioritizes clarity and readability, fulfilling the fundamental role of the leaflet with a strong emphasis on effective information delivery.

Option B
Option B leaflet hero

This concept focuses on delivering the Grand Opening schedule and announcement as quickly and powerfully as possible.

Large-scale headlines and strong color contrast were actively used to ensure that the “opening event” message is immediately recognized at first glance. Visual impact was prioritized, while unnecessary information was minimized so that the core message could be clearly conveyed even within a short exposure time.

Visual elements were arranged to emphasize the event atmosphere and a sense of dynamism, allowing the leaflet itself to be perceived as an event announcement. The structure was designed to draw rapid attention toward the event schedule and brand name.

Option B prioritizes event awareness and visual attention, presenting a direction that responds most directly to the goal of announcing the opening through the leaflet.

Option C
Option C leaflet hero

This concept was designed to communicate both the opening announcement and educational credibility, with careful consideration given to balancing event-driven messaging and informational elements.

The Grand Opening message is clearly positioned at the top to ensure immediate recognition of the opening, while the central area gradually introduces the academy’s educational direction and real activity imagery, naturally conveying the character and reliability of the taekwondo school.

Illustration elements were used to add visual approachability, allowing the design to feel accessible to both the target age group and parents. The overall layout and visual flow were structured around a progression from awareness to understanding and ultimately to consultation inquiries.

Option C aims for the most balanced communication in an offline distribution environment, considering both the stability of information delivery and the visual impact of the opening announcement.

Final Leaflet Design for Offline Distribution

This leaflet design focused on organizing the flow from opening awareness to building educational trust and ultimately leading to consultation inquiries within a single, cohesive structure.

Visual attention is quickly drawn to the Grand Opening message, followed by a step-by-step arrangement of educational direction and real activity imagery, allowing the character and value of the taekwondo academy to be conveyed naturally.

The layout and visual flow were carefully refined to ensure information remains clear and readable in an offline distribution environment, resulting in a leaflet that effectively supports the transition from initial exposure to consultation inquiries.
